Challenge

To remain competitive within the retail home improvement market Synergis were given the task by Homebase to create a multichannel customer engagement platform to inspire and engage with the target audience.

Solution

After extensive market research and liaison with the client’s internal channels a through the line strategy and framework was developed. A multi-channel strategy was formulated to deliver on three core areas:

Build Momentum – Get ahead of the market by delivering high levels of customer satisfaction resulting in repeat visits and a positive sales trend throughout the year.

Add Value – Adopt a more customer centric value adding proposition leading to improved loyalty and retail margins.

Improve Brand Cohesion – Create an integrated launch which will result in increased online and offline channel traffic with improved customer metrics.

Results

  • Increase in multi-channel sales year-on-year, representing 8% of total Homebase sales.
  • Operating profit increased by 5%
